TRISON transformed the Barcelona Aquarium into an immersive digital journey, merging technology and creativity to enrich the connection with the marine world.
The Barcelona Aquarium aimed to reinvent the visitor experience through digital innovation, using technology as a creative tool to strengthen the bond with the marine world. The challenge was to design an immersive journey that would surprise from the exterior and guide visitors through a memorable multi-sensory tour.
The Barcelona Aquarium is reimagined as a space where technology and creativity merge to deliver a truly sensory experience. With TRISON’s solutions, visitors not only observe marine life but also live it in an immersive way, exploring a digitally reinvented ocean that enhances both wonder and connection.

A large LED screen with 3D content and synchronised audio that captures the attention of passers-by, inviting them inside, plus a holographic fan that surprises visitors.

Over 300 sqm of digital flooring recreating the sensation of walking on a moving ocean, accompanied by an infinite ceiling that expands spatial perception and enhances immersion.

Digital touchpoints with LED and LCD screens displaying audiovisual content that enriches the narrative, connecting visitors with the scale and beauty of the marine environment.

A 360º projection room that takes users on an underwater journey with projectors and immersive audio, also equipped for events.
To make space management easier, we created and implemented intuitive software that allows the entire system to be controlled from a tablet using simple icons.
All audiovisual solutions were carefully integrated into the existing architecture, ensuring visual impact without disrupting the space, the visitor flow or the marine environment.
Audiovisual content was developed to balance emotion and education, using motion graphics, 3D animation and sound design to communicate marine knowledge in an engaging and accessible way for all audiences.
All audiovisual systems across L’Aquàrium de Barcelona are managed through a centralised and intuitive control platform. This solution allows staff to control screens, projections, sound and interactive elements in real time from a single interface, simplifying daily operations and reducing technical complexity.
The system enables quick content updates, scheduling and adaptation to different visitor flows, events or educational activities. By centralising management, the aquarium ensures consistent storytelling throughout the space while maintaining flexibility, reliability and ease of use for internal teams—supporting smooth operations without interrupting the visitor experience.
